Carolyn Sue Jones

Carolyn Sue Jones, 88, of Princeton, passed in November of 2023 at the Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh. She was born in Washington IN, on August 5, 1935 to Adrain and Elaine (Akester) Hunter.

Sue had lived in Princeton since 2005, moving back here from California where she lived for many years.   She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Princeton, and the Daughter’s of Isabella.  She was a Registered Nurse and had worked for Brinks Family Practice in Princeton for several years. While living in California she worked as a nurse in hospital emergency rooms.

Sue is survived by a daughter, Julie Richmond; son, Alec Jones; brother, Larry Hunter (Marla) of Princeton; and sister, Jayne Deckard (Walt) of Parish FL.

A funeral service will be held at the graveside 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 11, 2024 in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Princeton, with Fr. Gary Kaiser officiating.  Burial will follow the services. The Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton has been entrusted with the arrangements.
