Carolyn "Sammie" Wilson

Carolyn “Sammie” Wilson, 92, of Princeton, IN passed away January 2, 2024. She was born September 2, 1931 in Oakland City, IN to the late Uber B. and Nancy Marie (Conley) Cox. Sammie worked for Potter and Brumfield after graduating high school. She married Jerry, the love of her life, December 10, 1945. They moved to Florida where she worked at the County of West Palm Beach for 25-30 years. Sammie enjoyed working crossword puzzles, watching sports, listening to country music, and spending time with family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jerry E. Wilson; children, Max Eugene Wilson, Stanley Dean Wilson, and Jane Ellyn Richardson; and sister, Lacigale Willis.

Sammie is survived by her children, Gwen (Stephen) Meade of Patoka, IN and Jerry (Lisa) Wilson of Lakeworth, FL; 6 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Cremation will take place with a private burial at a later date.
