Catherine M. Johnson

Catherine M. Johnson, 78, of Princeton, IN was called home to the Lord Tuesday, December 10, 2024. She was born November 30, 1946 in Princeton, IN to the late James Collins Sr. and Kathryn (Sullivan) Collins. Catherine graduated from Princeton High School in 1964. She married the love of her life, Gene Johnson, April 1, 1969 and they were blessed with 55 years of marriage. Catherine was a proud homemaker who will be remembered as a loving wife, wonderful mother, and caring grandmother. She was a member of Bethel Memorial Church and had deep faith. Catherine liked to watch classic western movies and Nascar races. She was also known to just sit and listen to that great gospel music. Catherine was loved deeply by many and will be missed greatly.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Norma (David) Hasselbrink.

Catherine is survived by her husband, Gene Johnson; children, Chris Johnson, Tina Lord, and Jason (Helena) Johnson; grandchildren, Caleb (Alexia) Johnson, Christian Johnson, Johnathan Johnson, Ariana Johnson, Kailee Ridgley, Kayden Lord, William Mullen and Tyler Johnson; 4 great-grandchildren; and brother, James (Sherry) Collins Jr.

A graveside service will be held 1:00 PM Friday, December 13, 2024 at Maple Hill Cemetery in Princeton with Pastor Kevin Wilson officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Colvin Funeral Home to aid in funeral expenses. Donation envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
