Charles Lee Obituary

Charles E. “Bud” Lee, 93 of Oakland City, passed away Sunday, November 27, 2022 at the Good Samaritan Home in Oakland City.  He was born on May 6, 1929 in Boonville to Alva and Opal (Harper) Lee.

Bud had lived in Oakland City for the past 76 years moving there from Pike County.  He was a mechanic, owning and operating Charles Lee Garage.  He was an excellent mechanic and enjoyed tinkering on things. He also worked in a factory and was a farmer. He enjoyed going fishing and mushroom hunting as long as he was able. 

Bud is survived by his wife of 76 years, Vera L. Lee; daughters, Rogena Hunt (Roger) of Brookville, OH, Suzie Alexander of Martinsville; daughter-in-law, Janelle Lee of Winslow; sister, Mary Lou Nuhring of Evansville; 8 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Marlena Stein; son, Buddy Max Lee; brothers, Johnnie and Dwain Lee; sister, Margaret Jean Carter; and son in law, Herbert Alexander.

There will be no services or visitation at this time.  The Corn-Colvin Funeral Home in Oakland City has been entrusted with the arrangements and is honored to serve Charles's family.
