Charles "Charlie" Shaw Obituary

Charles “Charlie” F. Shaw, 89, of Evansville, passed away Friday, July 2, 2021 at his home. He was born September 11, 1931 in Oakland City to the late Curtis Shaw and Aileen (Pierce) Shaw and married Geraldine “Gerri” (LaGrange) Shaw. He served his country in the United States Army and worked as a logistics manager in transportation. He retired from Grow Mark in Bloomington, Illinois and spent his retirement years in the Princeton and Evansville areas. He was a member of the Southern Baptist faith and of the Masonic Lodge # 467 for over 50 years. He enjoyed visiting his grandkids and watching them play sports. He also enjoyed traveling to Colorado and Indianapolis and attending LaGrange and Hilltop Farms. He was loved and will be missed.

Charlie is survived by his sons, Norman Shaw of Denver, Colorado and Gordon Shaw (Elaine) of Westfield; grandchildren, Jason, Amanda, Austin, and Dylan; and siblings, James Shaw (Jeanette) and Lila Jean Truitt.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.  

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM (CST) Monday, July 12, 2021 at Columbia White Church Cemetery located at 991 S. 250 W. Princeton, IN with Pastor Tony Boyken officiating. Full military honors will be conducted by the Retired Military Veterans. Following the service, family and friends will gather at Dick Clark's Family Restaurant located at 702 N. Prince St., Princeton, IN. All are welcome to join.

The Shaw family would like to extend their gratitude for the care Charlie received from Jodi at Southern Care Hospice.
