Cheri Anne Dunn, 47, of Petersburg passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2025 at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, KY. She was born February 2, 1977 in Evansville, IN to Terry Hurst and Angela Draper. Cheri worked at Pike Central as a cafeteria worker. She liked creating by working puzzles and crafting. Cheri also took on the task of remodeling her house herself. She had an infectious smile and was loved by so many.
Cheri was preceded in death by her grandparents; Jerry (Veragwen Collins) Hurst and Calvin (Norma Lee Morrison) Bodkins; father, Terry (Lora) Hurst; sister, Abbey Williams; father to her first son, David Mallory and uncle, Steve Bodkins.
She is survived by her mother, Angie Bodkins (Butch) Draper; children, Colton Mallory and Travis Norrington; grandchildren, Caiden and Brendan Mallory; significant other, Edward Durham; brother, Andy Hurst; lifelong friend, Heather Chandler; nieces, Peyton William, Kaylynn, Kynslee, Madisyn, and Maesyn Hurst; and nephews, Parker Hurst, Deacon and Xavier Schurz.
A funeral service will be held at 4 pm CST Saturday, January 11, 2025 at Corn-Colvin Funeral Home in Oakland City. Visitation will be on Saturday from 2 pm CST until service time at the funeral home. Cheri will be laid to rest privately at Martin Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be donated to Corn Colvin Funeral Home to aid in funeral expenses. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
