Cherry Gibson Obituary

Cherry L. Gibson, 66, of Princeton, IN passed away Saturday, March 7, 2026 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born October 9, 1959 in Indianapolis, IN to Raymond Roe and Joyce (Bell) Roe. Cherry graduated from Wood Memorial High School in 1977. Shortly after high school she married the love of her life, Randy Gibson, September 4, 1981 and was blessed with 44 years together. Cherry, worked as a cook for the Bistro in Princeton and Toyota. She was a member of the Eagles and Moose Lodge. Many will remember Cherry from her time babysitting children of the community. She enjoyed cooking and taking care of people. Cherry loved being surrounded by family and friends. She adored the time she spent with them, especially when they played games together and she won all of their quarters. Cherry will truly be missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents; father and mother-in-law, Joe and Virginia Gibson; and brother-in-law, Wayne Gibson.

Cherry is survived by her husband, Randy Gibson; daughter, Kristin Brown; grandchildren, Chloe Brown and Kayden Gibson; siblings, Carla (John) Lamar, Tonya (Mike) Johnson, and Mel (Brad) Burton; and brothers-in-law, Jeff (Patty) Gibson and Jon (Anita) Gibson.

A funeral service will be held 12 PM Tuesday, March 17, 2026 at Colvin Funeral Home with Pastor Donnie Truelock officiating. Burial will follow at Columbia White Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday, March 16, 2026 from 4 PM until 8 PM at the funeral home.
