Claude E Green

Claude E. Green, 83 of Somerville passed away Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at his home.  He was born May 14, 1940 in Somerville, to Claude and Celia (Newkirk) Green. 

Claude lived in Somerville most of his life, retiring from Whirlpool in Evansville where he worked for over 40 years.  Claude enjoyed spending time with his family and he took care of his mother and two of his siblings when they needed help.

Claude is survived by a sister, Martha Graves of Frankfort, IN; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Katherine Green in 2011; brothers and sisters, Esther Green, Maude Wilson, Ruth O’Neal, Mary McGillem, James, Manson, Lanson, Denver, Ronald, David, Clarence, Ralph, Daniel and Paul Green.

A funeral service will be held at the graveside, 2 p.m. Thursday, December 28, 2023 at the Somerville Cemetery.  Burial will follow the service. Visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Corn-Colvin Funeral Home in Oakland City, followed by a procession to the cemetery.
