Connie R. Collins, 66, of Mt. Olympus, IN passed away Thursday, April 24, 2025 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born October 28, 1958 in Princeton, IN to Melvin Carl Cleveland and Sedolia Ruth (Young) Cleveland. Connie attended and graduated from Princeton High School in 1976 then from Vincennes University with her Associates degree in accounting. She married the love of her life, Dwight Collins, May 4, 1979. They were blessed with nearly 46 years of marriage before her passing. Connie worked as a Teller at Old National Bank for 20+ years before taking a teller position at Regions Bank. She retired from Regions Bank January 1, 2022 with a grand total of 30+ years in the banking business. Connie enjoyed spending time outdoors in the sun and taking vacations to Florida beaches with her family. She loved spending time with her daughters and grandchildren. Connie will be remembered as a loving wife, caring mother, and amazing grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her father, Melvin Cleveland.
Connie is survived by her husband, Dwight Collins; mother, Sedolia Cleveland; children, Jennifer (Hank) Kirby and Rachel Collins-Luebbehusen; grandchildren, Marissa, Victor, and Roman Kirby; and siblings, Mike Cleveland and Rebecca Gansman.
The funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton with Chuck Longabaugh officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the service time Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery.
