Connie “Hippie” M. (Bryant) Foley, 79, of Petersburg, passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2026 at Amber Manor Care Center. She was born August 9, 1946 in Winslow to the late Donald Bryant and Francis (Nelson) Bryant and was a homemaker and caretaker. Hippie enjoyed reading romance novels, doing word searches, listening to country and gospel music, and loved her dogs.
Hippie is survived by her daughter, Lana Luecke of Evansville; step-daughter, M'Lea Truitt (Kent) of Winslow; grandchildren, Max Luecke (Margaret), Alex Luecke (Kristin Sowder), and Taylor Truitt (Heather); great-grandchildren, Valerie and Roselyn Luecke, and Taydom Truitt; nieces and nephews, Beth Bennett, Ross Mose, Gayla Durden, and Tina Stone; and the father of her grandchildren, Philip Luecke.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Foley; and sisters, Sheila Elkins, Donna Phillips, and Susan Mose.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 (Eastern Time) Saturday, July 11, 2026 at Sunset Cemetery in Winslow officiated by Pastor Jerry Blackwell.
