Obituary

Curtis Lee Gourley, 64, of Princeton, passed away Monday, January 3, 2022 at The Waters of Princeton. He was born in Princeton September 10, 1957 to the late Ernest Gourley and Lucille (Jones) Gourley and worked part time at GCARC. He graduated Princeton Community High School and was a member of New Life Church of the Nazarene in Princeton. Curtis was a friendly and kind person who was active in his church. He loved watching the St. Louis Cardinals and loved participating in the Special Olympics winning several medals in basketball and cornhole. He was loved and will be missed.

Curtis is survived by his sister, Brenda Peterson; nieces and nephews, Kevin Peterson, Josh Peterson, Joe Peterson, Sarah Boling, and Shana Peterson; great-nieces and great-nephews, Atlee Boling, Ariana Boling, Axton Boling, and Kennedy Peterson; and caregiver and friend, Donnie Truelock.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 Noon Friday, January 7, 2022 at Colvin Funeral Home officiated by Donnie Truelock and Rev. Andrew Johnson. Interment will follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Princeton. A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until 12:00 Noon at the funeral home Friday.
