David Hayden Obituary

David Allen Hayden, 64, of Princeton, Indiana went to be with the Lord peacefully at home on Saturday, July 6, 2024. He was born to Lucian C. and Barbara A. Hayden on April 13, 1960 at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.

If you knew David, you have laughed at one of his jokes. He was a character, known for teasing his family and friends relentlessly, and they all loved him for it. He was truly one of a kind. He was a huge patriot, being born and raised on a military base while his father fought for our freedom. David never took his family for granted and loved them all with everything he had. He was the best husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He made several friends during his years of supervising at Toyota Boshoku in Princeton. He enjoyed making all sorts of creations on his 3-D printer in his shed, riding his golf cart with his wife and grandkids, and spending lots of time with his best friend, Brutus, who is lost without him.

He will be deeply missed by his wife of 29 years, Cynthia Hayden; children, Justen Hayden (Niki) of Beaver Dam, Kentucky, Brooke Speedy (Kyle) of Princeton, and Blake West (Tanna) of Evansville; mother, Barbara A. Hayden of Owensboro, Kentucky;  mother-in-law, Mary Houchins of Oakland City; siblings, Belinda Scheber (Tom) of New Bern, North Carolina, Dan Hayden (Alma) of Las Vegas, Nevada, Esther Dunlavy of Owensboro, Kentucky, Lee Hayden (Mary Lou) of Newburgh, Alford Houchins (Donna) of Francisco, Alice Guzman (Fernando) of Princeton, Glenn Houchins (Stephanie) of Shoals, John Houchins of Oakland City, Marlene Biel of Oakland City, and Charlene Heldt (Kent) of Princeton; grandchildren, Kayda and Jaxen Hayden, Kamdyn Collins, Kale and Isaiah Speedy, Lucian, Willow, Barrett, Delilah, and Benjamin West, Lily, Chloe, Tyson, and Jaxson Ware, and Aiden and Marlee Bilbro; so many in-laws, nieces, nephews, and friends also survive.

David was preceded in death by his father, Lucian C. Hayden and his father-in-law, Lawrence P. Houchins.

The Hayden family is thankful for the loving care of Dr. Ansel at Vanderbilt, Dr. McCain at Sarah Cannon, Dr. Turley at Deaconess; Heart to Heart Hospice nurse, Jennifer, and all the other helpful staff at their facilities.

David will rest easy knowing how loved he was on this Earth and will be forever missed.
