Debra “Debbie” Evans Mabe, 60, of Princeton, passed away on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville. Debbie was born on January 16, 1960 to Ida Aileen Evans. Debbie grew up in Princeton where she attended and graduated from Princeton Community High School in 1978. She resided and worked in Princeton until she married Rodney Mabe in 2002. They resided in Aurora, MO for 18 years. Debbie was employed with Walmart Corporation until she retired in 2019. After the passing of her husband, she moved back to Princeton. Her greatest joy was time spent with family and friends. She had always lived life to the fullest.
Debbie is survived by her daughter, Jamie Huryta (Dale) of Ravenna, NE; sister, Pamela Caddell (Rick) of Evansville; brother, Ronnie Evans (Becky) of Boonville; sister-niece, Eva Payne (Mike) of Princeton; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; three grandchildren; one great grandchild; and her dog “Puppy Doodle”.
Debbie is preceded in death by her mother, Ida Aileen (Evans) Wade; stepfather, Herman Wade; her husband, Rodney Mabe; sister, Patty Reinhart and her husband, Wilfred Reinhart.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton officiated by Rev. Larry Meadows. Burial will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery in Princeton. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the hour of service on Wednesday at the funeral home. Due to the current COVID-19 regulations, capacity inside the funeral home will be limited to 50 persons with masks and social distancing required.
