Denise A. (Stilwell) Medcalf

Denise A. Medcalf, 69, of Princeton, passed away Thursday, June 23, 2022 at Linda E. White Hospice in Evansville. She was born March 16, 1953 in Artesia, New Mexico. She had lived in Princeton since 2001 after moving from Mt. Carmel. She had served as a youth minister in Monroe City, worked as a special education teacher in the Mt. Carmel school system, manager at GCARC and inspector for CARF International.  In her younger years, she played the guitar and sang at church and weddings. She was a member of the Church of God. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family and her dogs.

Denise is survived by her husband, Vincent Leroy Medcalf of Princeton; children, Brian Medcalf of Princeton, Shawn Medcalf (Sausha) of Patoka and Desiree Harris (Johnathun) of Newburgh; grandchildren, Ian and Alexis Medcalf, Alyssa, Macie, Layla and Kirra Medcalf; Kalijah and Kayne Harris; great granddaughter, Delilah Ivy; and sister, Mechele Singleton (Michael) of Foley, Alabama.

She was preceded in death by her father, Norman Edward Stilwell; mother, Betty Ann (Swallow) Stilwell; infant brother, Eddie Stilwell; and great grandson, Liam Ivy.

A memorial service will be held at 7 pm on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton with Michael Singleton officiating. Visitation will be from 5 pm until the hour of service on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be donated to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116-7023. Envelopes will also be available at the funeral home.
