Dennis Whitehead Obituary

Denny Ray Whitehead, 69, of Princeton, passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville. He was born December 3, 1955 in Princeton to the late Jack Whitehead and Fern (Wiley) Whitehead and worked as a Coal Miner. He retired later from Princeton School Corporation as a maintenance man. Denny was an avid outdoors man. He enjoyed making people laugh and had a lot of fun. Denny always welcomed guests with an open door and he was a devoted friend.

Denny is survived by his children, Joshua Whitehead and Seth Whitehead (Hannah); step-children, Ashley Montgomery, Lexi Major, and Caycee Wilson; grandchildren, Jaycee Jo, Grannan, Harlee Montgomery, Lydia, and Camdyn Whitehead; brother, Chris Whitehead (Jessica); niece and nephews, Dallis Whitehead, Savannah Whitehead, and Dalton Whitehead; several very close friends who he cared about; and the mother of his children, Cindy Richey.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Trish Mason who passed away in April 2022 after 6 happy years of marriage.

A celebration of Denny's life will be held at 7:00 PM Saturday, March 1, 2025 at Colvin Funeral Home officiated by Pastor Josh Brown. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5 until 7 Saturday at the funeral home.
