Doyle Wayne Lloyd, 82, of Princeton, passed away Monday, December 6, 2021 at The Waters of Princeton. He was born September 18, 1939 in Princeton to the late Earl C. Loyd and Martha Vivian (Stoneburger) Loyd. He married Martha Ellen (Goldman) Lloyd on June 15, 1963 and they have been blessed with 58 years together. Doyle served in the United States Army in Germany and worked for Whirlpool for 40 years. Everyone who knew him loved him and he never met a stranger. He will be missed beyond measure.
Doyle is survived by his wife, Martha Lloyd of Princeton; son, Danny Loyd of Patoka; granddaughter, Alyssa Beadle (Tyler) of Princeton; sisters, Brenda Price and Pauline Waldroup; brother-in-law, Bill Rayman; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Mary Hubbard, Kate Rayman, and Earl Lloyd, Jr.; and brothers-in-law, Mike Price, John Waldroup, and Bob Hubbard.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, December 9, 2021 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton officiated by Pastor Donnie Truelock. Interment will follow at Columbia White Church Cemetery in Princeton. Full Military Honors will be held at the cemetery given by members of the Retired Veterans. A visitation will be held from 9 until 11:00 AM Thursday at the funeral home.
