Earl Ray “Butch” Norrington, 68, of Oakland City, passed away Saturday, May 30, 2020. He was born October 5, 1951 in Oakland City to the late Earl Davis and Anita Louise Norrington. Butch was an Honorary member of the Paralyzed Veterans of America for the past 20 years. He enjoyed being a horse trader and enjoyed the derby. He loved fishing and hunting, especially for wild mushrooms. Butch will be missed by all who knew him.
Butch is survived by his sons, Samuel Norrington (Amanda Kerns), Brian Norrington (Shelly), Joshua Norrington (Tammy), and Jeremy Norrington (Tierra Morrow); grandchildren, William Mason, Colton Mallory, Travis Norrington, James Norrington, Brentley Norrington, Ryker Norrington, Nevaeh Norrington, and Remington Norrington; great-grandchildren, Caiden Mallory and Brendan Mallory; and a brother, George Norrington.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 9, 2020 at the Corn-Colvin Funeral Home in Oakland City, with Mayor James Deffendall officiating. Burial will follow in the Cup Creek Cemetery near Velpen, IN. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home. Due to Covid 19 regulations, seating for the funeral and capacity of the funeral home for visitation will be limited. Social distancing from one another is encouraged.
