Edward William “Bill” Angle, 80, of Princeton, IN passed away October 28, 2024 at Linda White Hospice House in Evansville, IN. He was born October 07, 1944 in Princeton, Indiana to the late Robert W. Angle and Emma M. (Hill) Angle. Bill attended and graduated from Princeton High School in 1963. Shortly after graduation he served in the US Army in the Vietnam War. Bill came home and married the love of his life, Sue Angle, August 14, 1969 and was blessed with 55 years together. He worked for Gibson County Highway Department for 50 years as a parts manager. Bill was a member of the American Legion and attended The Oasis Church in Princeton. He like to make sure every morning to get a good cup of coffee and post a nice good morning post on Facebook. Bill loved to tinker in his garage, where he could fix anything! That could be working on any small engine or lawn mower. Bill could always get it running. He will be remembered as a loving husband, dad, pa, and brother.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Floyd Eugene (Fay) Angle, Roberta Angle, and Herschell Leon “Judge” (Ernestine “Ernie”) Angle; and brother-in-law, Bill Wells.
He is survived by his wife, Sue Angle; children, Elizabeth Angle, Wilmington, NC, Martha Angle, and Sarah Angle of Princeton, IN.; grandchildren, Joshua (Amber) Angle of Ft. Riley, KS, Charlie Angle of Wilmington, NC, Christian (Cassidy Hendershot) Taborn of Evansville, IN, Jordin (Jared Ellis) Taborn, Elaine (Adryan) Cooper, Erika (Logan Lloyd) Boner, and Hunter Boner all of Princeton, IN; 20 great-grandchildren; sisters, Norma Wells of McDonough, GA and Becky Angle Julian (Larry) of Princeton; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, October 31, 2024 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, IN with Pastor Gary Arnold officiating with burial to follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Princeton. Military Rites will be given by the Retired Military Veterans. Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 30, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society or Diabetes Association, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
