Edwin Graper “Beeper” Kruse, 80, of Fort Branch, passed away Friday, January 15, 2021 at his home. He was born August 16, 1940 in Fort Branch to the late Edwin Graper Kruse Sr. and Emma (Graper) Kruse and resided there his entire lifetime. He was a member of St. Lucas United Church of Christ east of Fort Branch. He had formerly driven a truck for Nu-Gas in Princeton and retired as a school bus driver for the South Gibson School Corporation.
“Beeper” is survived by his wife of 27 years, Joyce (Boyd) Kruse of Fort Branch; 4 children, Kevin Kruse (Pam) and their children, Jason and Ashley of Mackey, IN, Leanne Roberts (John) of Florida, Jennifer L. Lantrip and her children, Abbie and Luke of Princeton, and Jerry F. Sharp Junior (Audrea) and their children, Keara and Aurora of Griffin, IN.
A funeral service will be held at 2 pm Thursday, January 21, 2021 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with Pastor John Heumann officiating. Interment will follow at St. Lucas Cemetery east of Fort Branch. A walk-through visitation will be held from 11 am until 2 pm Thursday at Colvin Funeral Home. Due to state mandated COVID-19 regulations, the number of people allowed inside the funeral home will be limited to allow for social distancing and masks are required.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Lucas Church, 6777 S 350 E, Fort Branch, IN 47648. Envelopes will also be available at Colvin’s.
