Elizabeth "Beth" Ann Mayfield

Elizabeth “Beth” Ann Mayfield, 79 of Princeton passed away Thursday, July 17, 2025 at the RiverOaks Health Campus in Princeton.  She was born December 15, 1945 in Princeton to Charles and Ruthanna (Hayes) Gilpatrick. She retired from the Gibson County Clerks office where she was the First Deputy Clerk, working there for 16 years.

Beth Ann lived in Gibson County most of her life, living in Ft. Branch in her younger years, later moving to Princeton.  She graduated from Ft. Branch High School in 1964.  She enjoyed bowling and playing slow pitch softball. She was involved in politics, a member of the Gibson County Democrat Women’s Organization.

Beth Ann is survived by her husband, Charles Mayfield of Princeton; son, William Mayfield (Lisa) of Ft. Branch; daughter, Shannon Turner (Brad) of Cookeville, TN; grandchildren, Jared Turner (Abby) and Sammy Turner; brother, Joe P. Gilpatrick (Lisa) of Ft. Branch; sister, Janet Gilpatrick-Prough of Boonville.

She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Freddy Gilpatrick, Mary Starrett, Sharon Gilpatrick, and John Gilpatrick.

There will be a memorial service 4 p.m. Saturday, July 19, 2025 at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with Rev. Bob Douglas officiating.  Burial will be at a later date in the Owensville Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 1 until 4 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
