Ella “Maxine” Mason, 89, of Princeton, passed away Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at the Gibson General Hospital Skilled Nursing Unit in Princeton. She was born March 17, 1929 in Evansville, IN to George and Ollie (Small) Fisher. She retired from Hansen’s Corporation after 26 years. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Princeton. Maxine was a sweet soul that would help anyone in need. She loved nature and animals and cared for both with enthusiasm and awe.
She is survived by her daughter, Marsha Richardson DeSchamp (David) of Princeton; daughter-in-law, Susie Mason of Princeton; grandchildren, Will and Katie Mason, Jill Gross (Jeff) and Dean Sermersheim (Heather); great grandchildren, Abby and Mason Gross; step grandchildren, Kim Pinkston (Tom), Mike Richardson (Julie) and Steve Richardson (Leesa); step great grandchildren, Chelsea Harper (Matt), Brent Pinkston (Olivia) and Zane Richardson; 4 step great-great grandsons.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, James Mason in 1998; son, Dale Mason in 2011; son-in-law, Art Richardson in 2014; brother, Earl Fisher; and a sister, Velma Dearing.
Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 29, 2018 at Decker Cemetery near Patoka, IN. Burial will follow. Friends will meet at the cemetery. Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton has been entrusted with arrangements.
