Eloise Reeves Obituary

Eloise E. Reeves, 98, of Princeton, passed away Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at River Oaks Health Campus. She was born January 8, 1923 to the late, Aloysius Wentzel and Lorine (Pepper) Wentzel in Evansville and graduated Central High School. Eloise was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and Daughters of Isabella. She enjoyed cooking, crafts, ceramics, and participating in several clubs in Evansville. She was a homemaker and spent her time keeping the house, although her favorite past time was going ballroom dancing with her husband, Jack. She also liked spending time with her grandchildren and will be dearly missed.  

Eloise is survived by her children, Dan L. Reeves (Kathy) of Princeton and Linda F. Powell (Gerald) of Punta Gorda, Florida; grandchildren, Melinda Kuhn (Kevin), Michael J. Reeves, and Stephanie Caldemeyer (Bryan); 5 great-grandchildren; and 2 nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jack F. Reeves; grandson, Steven Reeves; infant granddaughter, Lisa Marie Reeves; a special friend, Carl Bell, who she also enjoyed going dancing with; and several siblings.

A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, June 25, 2021 at St. Joseph Catholic Church officiated by Father Gary Kaiser. Interment will follow at Alexander Memorial Park in Evansville. A private family visitation will be held.
