Emily M. Holland, 86, of Princeton, passed away on Saturday, August 26, 2023 at Transcendent Healthcare of Owensville. She was born in Millen, GA on November 6, 1936 to the late Lindsey and Allie Lewis. She was a member of the Columbia General Baptist Church in Princeton, where she also played the piano. Emily enjoyed gardening and sewing, and was a former Pink Lady at Gibson General Hospital and was involved in the lady’s-auxiliary of the Southern Railroad.
Emily is survived by her five children, Faye Thompson and Kathy (John) Reynolds of Princeton, Judy (Timothy) Tucker of Hopkinsville, KY, Cindy Holland of Princeton and Eric (Becki) Holland of Holiday, FL; 15 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild; a sister, Jeanette Thompson of Fuquay-Varina, NC.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie “Homer” Holland in 1994.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at 1 pm at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with Pastor Ron Marsh officiating. Visitation will be from 11 am until the hour of service at the funeral home on Wednesday. Interment will follow at the Columbia White Church Cemetery in Princeton.
Memorial contributions for Emily, may be made to the Pink Ladies Auxiliary at Deaconess Gibson Hospital, 1808 Sherman Drive, Princeton, IN 47670. Envelopes will also be available at Colvin’s.
