Emma Mae Winn, 85 of Spurgeon passed away Saturday, May 15, 2021 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh. She was born January 15, 1936 in Winslow, IN to Cleo and Golda (Clark) Hedges.
Emma had lived in Spurgeon for the past 30 years, moving there from Charlestown, IN. She was a homemaker for many years while raising her children, then she went to work being a caregiver and CNA doing private duty care. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, crafts and was an avid reader. In her earlier years, she enjoyed cake decorating.
She is survived by her husband, Bobby Winn of Spurgeon; son, Charles Fettinger (Carol) of Omaha, NE; 2 daughters, Anna Moretz of Huntingburg and Jeannie Cole of Charlestown; sister, Eulah Dearing of Huntingburg; 8 grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren.
Emma was preceded in death by her parents; son, James Fettinger; brother, Richard Hedges; and sister, Barbara Bishop.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, May 22, 2021 at the Corn-Colvin Funeral Home in Oakland City. Burial will follow in the Spurgeon Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. on Friday and from 8 a.m. until the service time on Saturday at the funeral home.
