Ermadel Miller Obituary

Ermadel June Miller, 92, of Owensville, formerly of Mackey, died at her home with family surrounding her on Saturday, February 17, 2024. She was born June 14, 1931 in Somerville to the late Adam Null and Edith (Conrad) Wagner and worked as a housekeeper at St. Anthony Hospital in Michigan City, IN for 20 years, then a few years at the Waffle House in Princeton. She was a member of Mackey Church of the Nazarene for 25 years and was dedicated to her faith. Ermadel loved her grandbabies who knew her as “Grandma June”, and her kids with her whole heart. She was a wonderful mother, grandma, great-grandma, and great-great-grandma. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness and goodness. Ermadel enjoyed crocheting, word searches, and puzzles, but what kept her mind and body going the longest was the family puppy, Rusty. Ermadel was loved dearly and will be missed beyond measure.

Ermadel is survived by her loving children, Esther Brown (Doug) of Michigan City, Fred Kell (Susan) of  Loganville, Georgia, Joyce Virden (Troy) of Owensville, and son-in-law, Bob Lewis; grandchildren, Dave Lewis, Lisa Typpi (Tom), Jennifer Banks (Scott), Jeff Smelser (Tracy), Stephanie Plummer (Garth), Jill Morris (David), Jason York (Carla), Felicia Carpenter (Jon), and Nick Virden (Kendra); 17 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; and brothers, Maurice Null (Sue) and Gary Null (Dea).

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Earl Miller; and children, Edwina Lewis, and Wayne Morris.

The funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton officiated by Pastor Jared Henry. A graveside service will be held Wednesday at Salem Cemetery in Westphalia, Indiana at 12:30 PM (CST) with burial to follow. Friends and family may visit from 5 until 7:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
