Eva Fisher Obituary

Eva Jane Fisher, 87, of Greenwood, IN formerly of Princeton, passed away Monday, July 6, 2026 in Indianapolis. She was born November 22, 1938 in Princeton to John and Hazel (Wilhite) English. 

Jane had lived in Greenwood for over 20 years moving there from Princeton.  She retired as a bookkeeper working at the former Wilkerson Bates Lumber Co. and Umbach and Vowells and had previously worked as a teller at the former Farmers National Bank in Princeton.  Jane was a former member of the Broadway Christian Church in Princeton and a member of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority.  She enjoyed crafting, arts, and was an avid reader.

Jane is survived by her sons, Greg and Karen Fisher of Safety Harbor, FL, Jeff and Sara Fisher of Newburgh, and Eric and Pam Fisher of Greenwood; grandchildren, Andrew Fisher, Allison Lancaster, Jonathan Fisher, Megan Fisher, Chelsea Fisher, Ericka Kresge, Jordan Fisher, Seth Fisher, Olivia Beatty, and Lauren Fisher; and 19 great-grandchildren.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Larry Fisher in 2009.

A private funeral service for immediate family will be held at the graveside at the Maple Hill Cemetery in Princeton.  The Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton has been entrusted with the arrangements.  Condolences may be expressed and memories shared online at colvinfuneralhome.com.
