Fern W. Peavler, 96, of Princeton, passed away Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at River Oaks Health Campus in Princeton. She was born December 1, 1924 in Princeton to the late A. C. Ferguson and Bertha (Barrett) Ferguson. Fern was a member of the Methodist Faith and was very active in the VFW Auxiliary for about 45 or 50 years. She was a good cook and liked to read books. Fern loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids and great-grandkids. She was dearly loved and will be missed.
Fern is survived by her children, Gary Mack Peavler (Jane) of Elk Grove Village, Illinois and Vicki Mosier (Brent) of Haubstadt; grandchildren, Blake Mosier and Shon Mosier (Tina); great-grandchildren, Ian, Cabryn, Kane, and Eli; brother, Verner Ferguson of Jeffersonville; and sister-in-law, Dona Jenkins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jerald Peavler in 2005; and sister, Thelma Rogers.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, November 29, 2021 at Francisco Cemetery in Francisco with Pastor Rick Lance officiating. Interment will follow.
