Florence Cansler Obituary

Florence Cansler, 91, of Princeton, passed away Sunday, August 24, 2025 at RiverOaks Health Campus in Princeton. She was born in Evansville on June 26, 1934 to Clarence and Lorena (Baehl) Will. She resided in Gibson County most of her life, and retired from Hansen Manufacturing in 1999 after 34 years.  In 1989, she married her husband, Glenn Cansler who passed in 2002. She was a member of Fairview Presbyterian Church and had served as a deacon there. Florence had volunteered for Deaconess Gibson Hospital Auxiliary since 2003. She enjoyed working puzzles, doing Sudoku, playing Bingo, taking bus trips to Branson, MO, going for daily walks and watching Wheel of Fortune.   

Florence is survived by her daughters, Debra (Brad) Ridgely of Princeton, Karen (Raymond) Williams of Mt. Olympus and Diane Williams of Oakland City; grandchildren, Lindsay & Jacob Whisenant, Chelsea Schmidt, Keely (Zack) Anderson, Jeremy Williams and Brittany Williams; 6 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Thomas Wagner; sister-in-law, Alice Jines; and the father of her daughters, Arthur Willis.

A funeral service will be held at the graveside at 1:30 pm on Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at the Maple Hill Cemetery in Princeton with John Stevens officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton from 11 am to 1 pm with procession to the cemetery following.

Memorial contributions may be made to Fairview Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 1282, Princeton, IN. 47670 or Deaconess Gibson Auxiliary, 1808 Sherman Drive, Princeton, IN. 47670. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
