Frances (Johnson) Burns

Frances Burns, 91, Fort Branch passed away Tuesday, July 22, 2025. She was born April 8, 1934 in Princeton to the late Lester George Johnson and Elizabeth (Steinhall) Johnson and married Paul Eugene Burns in March of 1957. They celebrated 45 years together before his passing in 2002. Frances was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.

Frances is survived by her daughters, Carolyn Burns of Fort Branch and Deanna Lutz of Princeton; grandson, Sam Estes of Princeton; nieces, Gerna Butts and Holly Schutz; nephew, Billy Johnson; second cousin, Judy Hudson; special friend, Sheila Robinson; and numerous nieces and nephews on the Burns side of the family.  

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Linda Kay Burns; and brothers, George Johnson and Bob Johnson.

The funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, July 26, 2025 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton with Kristi Pflug officiating and interment to follow at Francisco I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held from 9 until the service time Saturday at the funeral home.
