Frances Ann “Fran” Hippensteel, 88, of Princeton, passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2023 at Heart-to-Heart Hospice in Evansville. Fran was born in Chisolm, Minnesota on February 26, 1935 to the late William and Anna Mickelson. She was a homemaker and the wife of a naval aviator who with her husband lived in Florida, Texas, and California. Previously residing in Pennsylvania and Texas, she then moved to Indiana where she lived for the past 10 years. Fran was very involved with the local Senior Center playing bridge and quilting. Other activities Fran enjoyed were gardening, traveling, going on casino trips with friends and a great margarita. She also enjoyed watching golf, spending time with family, keeping up with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, but especially bragging on them and showing their pictures.
Fran is survived by a son, David Hippensteel of Princeton; daughter, Carol (Darrin) Bock of Princeton; grandchildren, Rachael (Mark) Degener and their children, Ainsley and Cassidy, Meghan Bock and Gerit Bock and brother, Jim Mickelson of Puyallup, Washington.
She was preceded in death by her husband, M. Daniel Hippensteel; a brother, William Mickelson; a son, Michael Daniel Hippensteel; and a grandson, Jarrod Bock.
Visitation with the family will be from 12 noon until 2 pm on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton.
