Frankie DeWayne Dunn, 76, of Princeton passed away in Evansville on Tuesday, April 9, 2024. He was born in Princeton on December 18, 1947 and served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Era from 1967 until 1970. He married his wife, Diana (Nurrenbern) Dunn on July 18, 1970 and worked for 30 years at Princeton Telephone Company. Frankie was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, and the VFW. He enjoyed gardening and mowing his lawn. Frankie was a hardworking man that took very good care of his family. He always put them first and they will miss him beyond measure.
Frankie is survived by his wife of 53 years, Diana Dunn of Princeton; sons, Steven Dunn (Lisa) of Michigan and Robert Dunn (Vicki) of Princeton; grandchildren, Jaelyn Rode (Mason), Luke Dunn (Maggie), and Jared Dunn all of Princeton, and Elaina Dunn and Ethan Dunn of Michigan. He is also survived by his beloved great-grandchildren, Reese Dunn, Daisy Jane Rode, and Myles Rode and sisters, Brenda Thompson (Richard) and Kathy Grubb (Bill).
Frankie was preceded in death by his parents, James and Kathryn (Colvin) Dunn and a brother, Buddy Ray Dunn.
A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, April 13, 2024 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Princeton officiated by Father Gary Kaiser. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Princeton where Retired Military Veterans will conduct full military honors. Visiting hours will be held Saturday from 8 until 9:30 AM at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton.
