Fred L. Braselton

Fred L. Braselton, 86, of Princeton, passed away Thursday, November 3, 2022 at Transcendent Health Campus in Owensville.

He was born June 28, 1936, in Princeton, Indiana to William Orville and Lillis (Slinker) Braselton, the youngest of ten children.

He retired in 1996 from Duke Energy Gibson Generating Station, and served in the Indiana National Guard for many years.

He married Lois G. Newkirk on June 7, 1957, who survives. They celebrated 65 years together and raised two sons.

He enjoyed his winter home in Florida and traveled extensively with family and friends.

Survivors include his wife, Lois; son Bradley (Shari) Braselton of Bloomington, their daughter, Kristen Braselton of Nashville, TN and another son, Robert Braselton of Princeton.

Fred was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Fillmore, Roscoe, Joseph, Jack, James, Victor and Gene; also, sisters, Blanche Robinson and Wilhelmina Russell and many nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 2 pm (CST) on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at Columbia White Church Cemetery in Princeton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Intrepid Hospice, 1318 N. Green River Rd., Ste. A and B, Evansville, IN 47714.
