Gary Hardenbrook Obituary

Gary Hardenbrook, 68, of Princeton, passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at The Waters of Princeton. He was born July 22, 1950 in Christopher, Illinois to parents, Reed and Phyllis (Burkett) Hardenbrook. He married the love of his life, Judy Kay Schmits in 1987 and she preceded him in death in 2018. Gary had a grateful heart and kind soul. He was an avid Cardinals and Colts fan. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Gary is survived by his father, Reed Hardenbrook of Mt. Carmel, Illinois; sister, Kerri Poole Wilson of Tampa, Florida; sisters-in-law, Teresa Griffin (James) of Mt. Carmel, Illinois, Patty Woehler (Jerry) of Haubstadt, Indiana, Debbie Dixie (John) Shelbyville, Kentucky, Sherry Owens (Everett) of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Phyllis Hanold (Larry) of Mt. Sterling, Illinois; brother-in-law, Randy Schmits (Janet) of Fort Branch, Indiana; step-siblings, Monty Turner and Rachel Martin, both of Mt. Carmel, Illinois; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother and loving wife of 31 years.

Per Gary's request, no public services will be held at this time. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
