The Shine of Gary "G-Man" Lynch
Sunrise: July 3, 1955 – Glory: March 3, 2025
With hearts full of both sorrow and gratitude, we celebrate the extraordinary life of Gary “G-Man” Lynch, who was called home to glory on March 3, 2025. A man of unshakable resilience, wisdom, and unapologetic faith, G-Man didn’t just live—he SHINED. His presence was bold, his love ran deep, and his fire for the Lord was unwavering.
A Legacy Rooted in Strength, Faith & Love
Born on July 3, 1955, Gary Leon Lynch entered this world with a spirit that could not and would not be dimmed. Raised by his beloved parents, James and Jacquelyn Young (who preceded him in glory), he became a guiding force for his siblings: Steff Young, Jeff Young, Lisa Young, Linda Young, and Chad Young.
At the very core of G-Man’s life was his faith. He didn’t just believe in God—he walked with Him, talked with Him, and lived his life as a testament to His power. He called Jesus Christ "JC"—his best friend and Savior—and never missed a chance to speak of deliverance, redemption, and living boldly in the Lord’s name.
When he arrived at Heaven’s gates, we know he heard the words:
"Well done, thou good and faithful servant..." (Matthew 25:23).
A Scholar, An Athlete, A Phenom
Gary was a man of many talents and limitless potential. He attended Indiana University on an academic scholarship and later graduated with a 4.0 in HVAC from Oakland City College, proving that excellence was his standard, not an option.
But beyond academics, G-Man was a basketball phenom. He was a proud member of Princeton’s legendary East End All-Stars, and he cherished the bond and brotherhood of growing up in Princeton, Indiana, with a crew that felt like family. The court was his stage, and he played with passion, precision, and power—a style that embodied who he was in every aspect of life.
A Life That Was a Concert
To Gary, life wasn’t just meant to be lived—it was meant to be celebrated. His world was a concert, filled with music, movement, and moments of pure joy. He sang loudly, danced freely, laughed unapologetically, and made sure everyone around him did the same. He never let a good song go to waste and never missed a chance to create a memory worth keeping.
His love extended far and wide, embracing his children: Travis Trice, Justin Lynch, Ragan Lynch, and Megan Lynch; his grandchildren: Travis Trice II, Dmitrik Trice, Isaiah Trice, Olivia Trice, Acelynne Trice, Justice Lynch, Lachlan Lynch, Micabella Lynch, Dorian Cabell, Sanai Lynch, Josiah Simmons, Zsa’Lynn Lynch, Devon Newborn, and Amiyah Newborn; and his great-grandchildren: Travis Trice III and Sovereign Elyse Hicks. His former wife, Jacquelyn Lee Trice, along with his extended family and a vast community of friends, will continue to carry his light forward.
The Eternal Shine
Though he has left this earthly realm, G-Man’s light is far from gone. His spirit lives on in the faith he shared, the love he gave, and the unshakable belief he instilled in those around him. His family will carry his torch, his friends will tell his stories, and his SHINE will never fade.
To those who knew him, he leaves behind a simple yet powerful charge:
"Live boldly. Love fiercely. Walk in faith. And never, ever let your shine fade."
