George Blacketer Meuser, 53, of Princeton, passed away Monday, December 18, 2023 at Deaconess Gibson Hospital. He was born at that same hospital in Princeton on April 13, 1970 to the late, Marvin Homer Meuser, Sr. and Hazel (Leathers) Meuser. George worked for the Clarion Newspaper in the mail room and attended college at Vincennes University after graduating North Gibson in 1988. George was a member of the Republican Senate Committee and his name is on the wall in Washington. He was a “trivia junkie” at heart and will be remembered by his family as their “phone a friend” because of his wealth of all kinds of knowledge. George was loved and will be sincerely missed.
George is survived by his mother, Hazel Meuser of Princeton; brother, Marvin Meuser, Jr. (Jodi) of Princeton; aunt, Wilma Frankland of Minneapolis; uncle, James Leathers of Evansville; nieces and nephews, DeJuan Roberts of Princeton, LaVonna Armstrong (Tyson) of Princeton, Dustin Meuser (Gretchen) of Princeton, and Jesssica Willis (Kris) of Princeton; and great-nieces and great-nephews, Baylen Roberts, DJ Roberts, DeVin Roberts, Marin Armstrong, and Arlo Willis.
He was preceded in death by his father, Marvin Homer Meuser, Sr. and grandparents, Rev. Donald Leathers and wife, Erma, Helen Conder, and Doyle “Jiggs” Meuser.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 6, 2024 at Columbia White Church Cemetery in Princeton with Pastor Donnie Truelock officiating. Inurnment will follow.
