Georgia Dillon, 79, of Princeton, passed away Monday, May 27, 2024 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh. She was born October 8, 1944 in Rockford, Illinois to the late Stanley Olson and Hazel (Petenger) Olson and worked as a production worker for Potter and Brumfield. Georgia was a member of Bethel Memorial Church and enjoyed attending bible studies. She was a board member of the Senior Center in Princeton and an avid supporter of Habitat for Humanity. Georgia loved to garden both vegetables and flowers and was an outstanding artist specializing in acrylic and oil painting. She like listening to country music and dearly loved her cat, Quincy. She had a lot of friends and many life long friends and kept herself active by walking, gardening, line dancing, and exercising at the Senior Center. Georgia was loved and will be missed.
Georgia is survived by her children, David Garrison of Greencastle, Joseph Garrison of Greencastle, and Greg Garrison (Ann) of Fort Walton, Florida; grandchildren, Hannah Garrison, Evan Garrison, Dustin Garrison, Tanner Garrison, and Amanda Garrison; great-grandchild, Brawnson Garrison; brothers, David Olson (Barbara) of Tennessee and Edward Olson (Barbara) of Illinois; and niece, Shelly Lewis.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Don Dillon; and a sister, Sandra Kay Bostelman.
A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Friday, June 7, 2024 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with Pastor Kevin Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Mt. Olympus. Visitation will be from 10 until 11 am Friday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Gibson County Council on Aging located at 212 S Richland Creek Dr, Princeton, IN 47670 or to Habitat for Humanity of Gibson County located at 1302 W Brumfield Ave, Princeton, IN 47670. Envelopes will also be available at Colvin's.
