Georgia Ann Schurmeier

Georgia Ann Schurmeier, 67, of Princeton, passed away on Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at the University of Louisville Hospital. She was born on March 3, 1956 in Oakland City to the late Dorris and Mary Louise (Bennett) Smith. She was a graduate of Princeton Community High School and was a retired RN-BSN nurse working ICU at St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville.

Georgia is survived by her husband, Kent Schurmeier of Princeton; 3 children, Benjamin Schurmeier (Lisa) of Haubstadt, Katie Carrel (Ethan) of Milwaukee, WI and Erin Schurmeier of Elberfeld; 4 grandchildren, Tyler, Kali, Jacob and Abigail Schurmeier; 3 brothers and 2 sisters, Fred Smith (Margie), Danny Smith (Mary Beth), Stacey Wilderman (Mike), Matt Smith (Brenda) and Angie Mattingly (Keith).

A private memorial graveside service will be held on Monday, August 14, 2023 at Walnut Hill Cemetery near Fort Branch, with Pastor Robert Simpkins officiating.
