Gilbert Ray Adcock, 77, a longtime resident of Patoka, passed away Sunday, September 15, 2019 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh. He was born on January 17, 1942 in Evansville, IN to Taylor and Rose (Gray) Adcock. Gilbert retired from Whirlpool after 40 years. He was a U.S. Army Veteran during the Vietnam Era. He was a member of the VFW and served on the Funeral Detail. He enjoyed spending time with his canine companion.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Martha Jean Adcock of Patoka; son, John Adcock (Stella) of Princeton; brother, Gene Adcock of Evansville; sister, Marilyn Pike of North Carolina; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 1 brother and 1 sister.
Graveside services will be held 1pm Saturday, October 19, 2019 at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Patoka with Rev. Amber Cook and Rev. Kenneth Armitage officiating. Burial will follow the services. Military services will be provided by the Retired Military Veterans. There will be no visitation. The Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton is handling arrangements and is honored to serve the Adcock family.
