Gloria Diane Spindler, 77, of Princeton, IN passed away at home Thursday, March 20, 2025. She was born in the old Princeton Hospital May 28, 1947 to the late Herbert and June Patterson. Gloria graduated from Princeton High School in 1965, then received her bachelor’s degree from Oakland City University in Teaching, and finally earned her Master’s degree from Indiana State University in Education. She married the love of her life, Irvin Spindler, June 3, 1972 and was blessed with 52 years of marriage. Gloria taught 3rd grade at Brumfield Elementary School for 35 years and was loved by her classes. She also worked as a Pink Lady at Gibson General Hospital for 20 years. Gloria was a member of St. Joesph Catholic Church in Princeton. She loved traveling, cruising, reading James Patterson mysteries, and spending time at Myrtle Beach. Gloria touched many lives and will deeply be missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law, Alan Stuckey.
Gloria is survived by her husband, Irvin Spindler; children, Rachel (Jim) Myers and Ryan (Bonnie) Spindler; siblings, Donna Stuckey and Stan (Judy) Patterson; grandchildren, Andrew and Elizabeth Myers; nieces, and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 27, 2025 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 305 E. Walnut St. Ft. Branch, with Fr. Gary Kaiser as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Princeton. Visitation will be from 4 until 7 p.m. on Wednesday at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton.
