Gregory Greenwell Obituary

Gregory Allen Greenwell, 60, of Princeton passed away February 25, 2024. He was born in Princeton January 10, 1964 to the late Robert “Jerry” Greenwell and Mary Louise (Brock) Greenwell. Greg graduated from Princeton Community High School in 1982. He worked at Hansen’s Manufacturing after high school until opening his construction business. Greg owned and operated Greenwell and Son Construction for 27 years. He was a member of the Eagles and Moose Lodge. Greg enjoyed riding his Harley, fishing, and woodworking. He liked to make, build, and create different pieces. Greg found great joy in teaching other people how to also work with wood. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. Greg will be remembered as a people person, loving guy who would do anything for anyone, and great husband and father.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert Greenwell; grandson, Allen Choate; and father-in-law, Michael Hughes.

Greg is survived by his wife of 12 years, Kelle Greenwell; children Dustin Greenwell, Samantha (Walker) Choate, and Havynn (Brayden Woods) Greenwell; step-children, Brittany (Chris) Vanvliet, Briana Smith, and Zachary Bailey; grandchildren, Amethyst and Alexander Choate, Jace and Marley Vanvliet, Rylee and Barrett Smith, and Aizlee Bailey; siblings, Lee Anna Roll, Diana (Alec) Denbo, Joedy (Carrie) Greenwell, Mary (Darrell) Parker, and Richard (Janet) Greenwell; and mother-in-law, Reitta Hughes.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, March 8, 2024, at Decker Chapel Cemetery in Patoka officiated by Pastor Donnie Truelock.
