Imogene Houghland, 92, of Princeton passed away Monday, November 17, 2025 at her home. She was born Oct. 5, 1933 in Oatsville, IN to Oren C. and Martha M. (Phillips) Jones. Imogene was a homemaker, enjoyed embroidery, crossword puzzles and she loved her cat Lola. She had lived in Princeton since 1963 moving here from Mt. Carmel.
Imogene is survived by her daughter, Harriett A. Hardin (David) of Francisco; brother, Lendell Jones of Florida; grandchildren, Dusty Hardin, Laura Hardin and John Hardin; great grandchildren, Kyan, Brianna, Heidi, January, and Josie.
Imogene was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Richard Lee Lowe in 1963; second husband, William David Houghland in 2011; infant daughter, Beulah Pearl Lowe; infant son, Richard Lee Lowe Jr.; granddaughter, Jill Hardin; sisters, Luella Hughes and Sue Carnahan.
A funeral service will be held 1 pm Monday, November 24, 2025 at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton with Pastor Judy Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland Memorial Cemetery in Mt. Carmel. Visitation will be from 11 am until the service time on Monday at the funeral home.
