Jacob Barton Obituary

Jacob Jesse Barton, 76, of Princeton, passed away at his home Thursday, January 5, 2023. He was born June 21, 1946 to the late Charles B. Barton and Emma (Cesar) Barton and married the love of his life, Beverly Ann (Adams) Barton on October 24, 1970. They were blessed with 52 years together until her passing on November 10, 2022. Jacob proudly served in the United States Navy on the USS Ogden and was a member of the VFW. He worked as a coal miner and a truck driver and was a member of the UMWA. He enjoyed fishing, spending time with his grandkids, telling stories, and taking care of his yard. He was loved and will be deeply missed.

Jacob is survived by his children, Rebekah Lynn (Jesse) of Princeton, Christopher Adam Barton of New Palestine and James Charles Barton and family of Rome, New York; grandchildren, Jazmine, Alexandra, and Levi all of Princeton and Kate, Sarah, Hannah, and Ally all of Rome, New York; great-grandchild, Olivia of Rome, New York; and numerous other family members.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday January 16, 2023 at Columbia White Church Cemetery. Military Rites will be provided by Retired Military Veterans.
