Jacquelynn Lou Taylor, 82, of Princeton, IN was called Home November 10, 2023. She was born March 13, 1941 in Connersville, IN. to the late Clarence Cecil Brock and Virginia Kay (Roberts) Brock. Jackie attended and graduated from Princeton High School. She married her soulmate, Raybourn Taylor, April 19, 1963. They were blessed with 60 years of marriage. She attended Gospel Kingdom Church in Mt. Carmel, IL. Jackie liked to make sure the house was decorated to perfection. She was the best at giving hospitality and being a gracious host. Jackie adored spending time with her family and friends. Jackie loved the word of God; it was her true passion in life. She was the biggest prayer warrior who enjoyed doing for others. Jackie was loved deeply and will be missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents; guardians who were like parents, Ed (Clusta) Coates; infant daughter, Tammy Sue Dedrick; siblings, Mike Brock and Bonnie Deen; brother-in-law, Dallas Tincher, cousin who was like a brother, Gary Hunt; uncle and aunt, Beul (Colleen) Hunt.
Jackie is survived by her husband, Ray Taylor; step father, Bob (Silvia) Downs; children, Mark (Carolyn) Dedrick, Amy (Jim) Carlisle, Doug (Julie) Taylor, and Daniel (Chrystal) Taylor; siblings, Wanda Tincher, Jody (Darwin) Feldt, Tim Brock; brother-in-law, Thomas Deen; cousins, Donna Scott, Carol Messersmith, Connie Wilson, Charlie Hunt, and Jerry Brock; 11 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held at 11 am Saturday, November 18, 2023 at Gospel Kingdom Church, 1440 W. 3rd St., Mt. Carmel, IL with Pastors John Peach and Brandon Hodgson officiating. Interment will follow at Atkinson Chapel Cemetery in Oatsville, IN. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 pm Friday, November 17th at the church.
