James Dale Bryant, 68, of Vincennes, IN passed away unexpectedly Friday, May 29, 2026 at his home. He was born in Princeton, IN November 28, 1957 to Alma Maxine (McDaniel) Bryant. Jim enjoyed working with his hands to make beautiful things. He was known to be a great woodworker, talented painter, and glass blower. Jim liked to make dream catchers as well. He was loved deeply and is already very missed.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Michael Bryant.
He is survived by his children, Susan Crump (Brandon Bowman) and James (Adrian) Bryant II; grandchildren, Nathanial Richard Crump, Selena Davis, and Denise Davis; brother, Steve (Bonnie) Johnson; aunt, Elsie Mae (Larry) Legg, and nephew, Larry Kevin Legg Jr.
A funeral graveside service will be held 4 PM CST Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at Davidson Cemetery in Giro. Visitation will be held at Colvin Funeral Home Wednesday 1:30 PM until 3:30 PM CST.
Memorial contributions may be made to Colvin Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
