James Norrick Obituary

James Richard Norrick “Full Tilt Boogie”, who goes by Richard, 68, formerly of Oakland City, entered rest on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at 6:30 p.m. at his residence at North Park Nursing Center in Evansville, IN. Richard was born on November 11, 1952 in Anderson, IN. Richard loved to go fishing, work on cars and motors and was an avid collector of Budweiser collectibles. He was always so happy and would do anything for anyone, even a stranger. He was a very caring and passionate person. He was also a black belt in Tai Quan Dao. Richard loved his family and he adored his 3 children.

He is survived by his daughters, Tracy (Tige) Turner of Owensville and Katie (Daniel) Henderson of Oakland City; son, James Richard Ryan (Valerie) Norrick of Oakland City; one sister, Carolyn Schmitt; two brothers, Ronald Norrick and Roger Norrick; 13 grandchildren, Taylor Ivy, Trevor Ivy,  Mackenzie Howard, Austin Norrick, Zane Wright-Norrick, Tyler Norrick, Lily Norrick, Amanda (Lane) Sisson, Austin Kolten Turner, Rayden Schooler, Layla Norrick, Ryval Norrick and Sailer Norrick; and one great granddaughter, Delilah Ivy.

Richard is preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Elsie Norrick; two sons, James R. Norrick and Dustin Norrick; and one great grandson, Liam Ivy.

Richard was in a band, Descent, for many years as the lead drummer. He will always be remembered as a party animal with a free spirit and lots of laughs and great times.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton has been entrusted with the arrangements. Friends and family may send flowers and donations to the funeral home and they will be distributed to the family as they come in.
