James R. Wolfe 82, of Princeton, passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at Transcendent Healthcare in Owensville. He was born in Augervillle, IN, September 9, 1941 to Harry Ross and Ruby Fern (Lynch) Wolfe, who preceded him in death.
Jim was a retired supervisor with Marathon Pipeline where he worked for 30 years. After retirement he went to work for Peterson Engineering as a maintenance supervisor. He graduated from Mt. Olympus High School in 1959 and had lived in Princeton since 1996. Jim served in the US Army from 1965 to 1968 during the Vietnam Conflict spending a year in Vietnam. He was a life member of the VFW Post 4276 in Mt. Carmel. Jim enjoyed traveling and working on things.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Carolyn Wolfe of Princeton; children, Tina Belcher, Penny Logue, Kim Lane, J.D. Wolfe, Hattie Davis, Elizabeth Weaver, Tim Wolfe and James Wolfe; step-children, Toni Krietemeyer (Mark) and Jay Woolston; siblings, Jerry Wolfe, Ronnie Wolfe, and Judy Tharp; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held 12 p.m. Saturday, August 3, 2024 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton with Fr. Gary Kaiser officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery in Princeton with Military Rites provided by Retired Military Veterans. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the service time on Saturday at the funeral home.
