Janet Ann Robinson, 80, formerly of Princeton passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis, IN. She was born on May 10, 1944, in Princeton to Hayward and Virginia McEllhiney.
She graduated from Francisco High School in 1962. She then received her undergraduate degree at the Evansville College School Of Nursing, later working as a school nurse for the North Gibson School Corporation until her retirement in the early 2000’s.
She scoured the Tri-State and beyond with many fun-filled trips with friends and family for antiques. A meticulous decorator with a keen eye, she would have made an excellent candidate for the cover and feature story of Country Living magazine. Beyond antiques, she loved playing backgammon and card games with friends and family as well as at the Evansville Duplicate Bridge Club. Although her mushroom hunting years had passed her by, she was always eager to talk about them during the season and, most importantly, eating them with her special deep-fry recipe.
More than her hobbies and passions, she loved her family deeply. Supporting her children in their aspirations and providing a loving home that taught them core values that would serve them well in their adult lives was, by far, her greatest success.
She is survived by her son, Eric (Cara) Luecking, and grandchildren, Kendall and Miles of Greenwood; sister, Kay (Ronnie) Parke of Oakland City; nephew, Adam (Kendra) Parke and their children of Oakland City; niece Alissa (Nathan) Tooley and their children of Francisco; cousin, Mike (Lisa) Luff; and cousin, Greg Luff.
Janet was preceded in death by the love of her life, David Luecking in 1979; son, Matthew Luecking in 2016; her parents, Hayward and Virginia McEllhiney; aunt, Madeline Harmon; and her second husband, David Robinson.
Visitation will be held at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton on Friday, March 7, 2025, from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM. The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. and burial will follow in the Maple Hill Cemetery.
