Jean (Watkins) Pauley Obituary

Jean (Watkins) Pauley, 99, of Princeton, passed away Friday, February 7, 2025 at Good Samaritan Home and Rehabilitation Center in Oakland City. She was born almost 100 years ago on July 16, 1925 in rural Francisco to the late Laverne and Irene (Jones) Watkins and was a wonderful homemaker all her life. She married the love of her life, Fred Walter Pauley, and they were blessed with 62 years together until his passing in 2008. Jean was a member of First General Baptist Church, she enjoyed sewing and painting, and loved birds and flowers. She was dearly loved and will be missed.

Jean is survived by her children, Ron Pauley (Barbara), Susan Pauley, and James Pauley (Nelly); grandchildren, Shay Pauley, Seth Pauley, Evelyne Pauley Eisenman, Zachary Pauley, and Darius Pauley; and great-grandchildren, Michael May, Piper Pauley, Dalary Pauley, Andrew Eisenman, and Alexander James Eisenman. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, James Watkins; and sister, Mary Jo Watkins. 

The celebration of Jean’s life will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, February 17, 2025 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton. Her son, James Pauley, will officiate and burial will follow the service at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Mt. Olympus. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home Sunday the 16th from 4 until 7:00 PM.
