Jeanette LaMar

Jeanette LaMar, 94, of Princeton, passed away Saturday, September 3, 2022 at Scenic Hills at the Monastery in Ferdinand, Indiana. She was born April 29, 1928 in St. Louis, Missouri to the late William Omer Whitacre and Effie Pearl (Russ) Whitacre and worked for Potter and Brumfield then for Hansen’s. She was a member of the First Church of Nazarene and the Salvation Army Auxiliary. She was dearly loved and will be missed.

Jeanette is survived by her son, Benny LaMar; grandchildren, Kylie Jo Taylor Nicolosi (Matt Nicolosi), Bryce Jacob Taylor (Arrika Dedmond Taylor), Benny Joe Lamar, and William Cody LaMar; 3 great-granddaughters; and a sister, Christene Beloat.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Alfred “Bill” LaMar; daughter, Tina Taylor; brothers, Maurice, Imel, and Emmett Whitacre; and son-in-law, Garry Taylor.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton. Interment will follow at Oddfellows Cemetery in Princeton. A visitation will be held Monday, September 12, 2022 from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
