Jeffery K. Johnson

Jeffery Kent Johnson, 61, of Oakland City, IN passed away Friday, January 10, 2025, at Norton Hospital in Louisville, KY. He was born December 24, 1963, in Princeton to Larry G. and Peggy (Bottoms) Johnson. Jeff graduated from Pike Central High School in 1982. He furthered his education by earning 2 degrees from the University of Southern Indiana in Accounting and Management. Jeff was a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity in college. He worked 20+ years at United State Postal Services as a Postmaster. Jeff enjoyed watching basketball, baseball, and football; especially Notre Dame and Cardinals.  

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Welza (Marie) Bottoms and Alva (Lucille) Johnson.  

Jeff is survived by his parents, Larry and Peggy Johnson; siblings, Lisa Johnson and Greg (Michele) Johnson; nephews, Jordan and Derek Gameon; and Uncle Dennis Johnson.  

Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM CST Friday, January 17, 2025, at Corn Colvin Funeral Home in Oakland City with Pastor Gary Pancake officiating and burial to follow at New Liberty Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, January 16, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM CST at the funeral home.
